The Institute for Conservation Leadership<http://www.icl.org/> (ICL), an organization dedicated to strengthening leaders, organizations, and coalitions or networks that protect and conserve the Earth, has extended the deadline for their Sustainable Organizations Workshop and their Leading From Within Program Sessions to this Friday, September 12.


Sustainable Organizations Workshop
November 16 - 19, 2008
Maumee Bay Resort and Conference Center<http://www.maumeebayresort.com/>, near Toledo, Ohio

This three day intensive workshop helps leadership teams build sustainable organizations and proactively manage change, engage people with diverse perspectives and create strategic impact. Teams of three board members and staff will strengthen their ability to lead, assess, plan and implement successful organizational growth and transitions.

Tuition is $5,500 for a team of three leaders, which includes the full program and lodging, as well as 8 hours of follow-up coaching and consulting over six months.  Each team is responsible for travel costs to the workshop location.  Mott scholarship funding is available to qualifying organizations within the Great Lakes watershed. Leading From Within Program Sessions
First Session:  November 11 - 14, 2008
Second Session:  March 10 - 13, 2009

Leading From Within is a five-month program designed to strengthen participants' leadership skills and increase their effectiveness as leaders. This program will help you have a greater impact as a leader with others, within your organization, and in group settings.  The program includes a 360 degree leadership assessment tool, communication skills building, group experiential exercises, peer exchange, and activities that you will find both challenging and rejuvenating.

Tuition is $3,850 per person and includes both sessions, materials, lodging in a double room, and meals, as well as conference calls and coaching time between sessions.  A limited number of single rooms are available at an additional cost.  A limited number of reduced tuition slots will be available for eligible organizations.  Mott scholarship funding is also available to qualifying organizations within the Great Lakes watershed.
