land conservation professional. This position will perform a variety of
tasks that have a direct impact on preserving diverse habitats, native plant
and animal species, and the wise management and conservation of natural areas
in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:State w:st="on">Michigan</st1:State></st1:place>.
The land protection specialist will participate in all phases of protection
activities, from identifying and researching possible land for conservation, to
helping negotiate with land owners, creating land management plans, helping
monitor land use, and working with the public. <o:p></o:p></span></font></b></p>

degree in geography, civil engineering, mapping, land use, biological sciences,
applied ecology, natural resources, botany, wildlife management, or related
field is required. A political science/public policy degree with appropriate
experience is alternatively required. Experience in law and real estate is
highly recommended. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
