[Ohio_LT] Announcing the Land Trust Alliance's New Online Training Sessions

Dear Ohio Conservationist:

Can't get away from the office, but still want training?  The Land Trust Alliance is pleased to offer new online sessions that feature key topics that may be of interest to your land trust.



 1.  Easement Monitoring, March 4 at 3:00 pm ET with Jane Ellen Hamilton. This 90-minute session is a great way to train staff and volunteers on the nuts and bolts of monitoring from pre-monitoring preparation to post-monitoring work.  1.  Funding Easement Stewardship, March 6, 20, 27, April 3, 1:00-2:00 pm ET with Brenda Lind. This intensive 4-week session takes participants through the major issues involved in correctly calculating the costs of stewarding their easements. Participants have the opportunity of having Brenda reviewing their easement funding policies.  1.   The Board's Role in Tough Economic Times, March 18, 3:00 pm ET with Marc Smiley. This 90-minute session will present creative ways land trusts can deal with the current economic crisis while still advancing their conservation agendas.  1.  What Land Trusts Need to Know About the New IRS Form 990, March 23 at 3:00 pm ET with Konrad Liegel and Cordelia A. Glenn Grabiak. This 90-minute session will provide participants with an overview of the significant changes to the Form 990 and guidance for implementing governance policies and practices preferred by the IRS.
