[Ohio_LT] Field Trip to Incubator Kitchen

Greetings!

 

You are invited to join us for a car pool field trip to the community
kitchen of Acenet Business Incubator in Athens, OH, on Tuesday, July 28th.
Sorry for the short notice, but Leslie Shaller, Food Business Counsellor at
Acenet, is a very busy woman!  So I secured the first date I could for our
tour, before she sets out again to consult elsewhere in the country. Please

Here are the plans for the trip:

Meet at the John Bryan Center (village building in YS at 100 Dayton Street)
at 8:15 AM on Tuesday, July 28.  Ride or drive to Athens to begin tour of
business incubator kitchen facility at 11 AM.  We'll break for lunch at the
worker owned restaurant, Casa Nuevo, around 12:30.  After lunch the tour
will resume, and wrap up at about 3:00 PM.  We anticipate arriving back at
the Bryan Center about 5:45 PM.

 

Acenet suggests a donation of $10 per person for the tour.  Because they are
one of the oldest such facilities anywhere, they have had to cover their
costs to make themselves available to people outside the Athens area.  Lunch
payment is also on your own.

 

Please let me know if you can come, so we can prepare for the trip.  Also
let me know if you'd be willing and able to drive - we can help with gas
cost.

 

Your help in spreading the word about this event is TRULY appreciated.  Much
planning for the future of farming and farm related business in our area.
This is a great opportunity to learn from some veterans!
