Columbia Ohio Expansion RFP

Grant funds now available for the protection of migratory bird habitat in Ohio:

The U.S Fish and Wildlife Service and The Conservation Fund are partnering with Columbia Gas Transmission, LLC to conserve and restore migratory bird habitat in forest habitat blocks and along riparian corridors. Acquisition and/or restoration projects should target forest dwelling avian species impacted by the pipeline such as Cerulean Warbler, Worm-eating Warbler, Kentucky Warbler and Blue-winged Warbler, Wood Thrush, Black-billed Cuckoo, Whip-poor-will and Red-headed Woodpecker.  Applications are due June 26, 2009.
