Greenspace Community Forum 2009: Financing Land Conservation presents a survey of traditional and innovative finance strategies for land conservation organizations.
Funding land protection is more challenging than ever before. Conservation organizations can benefit from innovative techniques and a careful review of available resources and funding tools.
This highly interactive and fast-paced workshop will:
* survey an extensive array of revenue-generating and financing techniques
* discuss organizational positioning to increase the likelihood of success
* offer supporting case studies
* assist participants in developing imaginative (and successful) financial strategies for their own transactions

Presenter: Story Clark
Story Clark is a consultant specializing in land conservation strategy and finance, advising conservation organizations and foundations. She has worked in land conservation and land use planning for over 30 years, previously with the Jackson Hole Land Trust, the Jackson Hole Conservation Alliance, and as a planner for Teton County, Wyoming. She is a recipient of the National Park Foundation's Citizen Leadership Medal for continued leadership in the preservation and protection of America's scenic and historic heritage. She is a landowner, conservation easement donor, and conservation practitioner who has worked on over 100 conservation transactions.
